Hi Customers,

Today, we noticed the SociableKIT Facebook Page Events solution stopped working. All other SociableKIT solutions are working: Facebook photo albums, Facebook feed, Instagram feed, YouTube feed, etc.

We reached out to Facebook and they said that certain Facebook API features are temporarily down due to the changes they are making to the Facebook platform.

We expect this solution to be working again soon, our target is within the week. As a temporary fix, we’ll display the events using the default, non-customized Facebook iFrame widget.

We will keep you posted.

Thank you for understanding and patience. Sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused you.

Mike Dalisay & SociableKIT team.

April 14, 2018 Update:

We just submitted a new version of our app to Facebook. They will have to review and approve it.

They said the review process usually takes 5-7 working days.

April 16, 2018 Update:

While the Facebook approval is on process, we are currently working on a fix where the feed content updates once every 24 hours.

We’ll release this fix within 24-48 hours. The customized Facebook page events feed will be back.

April 18, 2018 Update:

Facebook page events feed customization is not yet fully working on some feeds. Our new process seem to be able to get data from Facebook every 24 hours only.

Facebook only gives us very limited data. What we have for now are:

1. Event name
2. Event start date and time
3. Event location
4. Event host with link
5. Event image (200 x 200 pixels for events on the list, high quality for recurring events)
6. One-time events
7. Recurring events (Will show only the first two dates)
9. Upcoming events (past events is temporarily disabled)
10. Upcoming events in calendar view

April 21, 2018 Update:

Facebook events (Grid Layout), Single Facebook event, Facebook events to Google calendar starts working again as well.

Our system tries to update the events feed once every 24 hours. Our system takes a break every Sunday PHT.

April 23, 2018 Update:

We put the “last synced” information on the upper right corner of the dashboard so that customers will know when was the last time the feed was synced to Facebook.

May 5, 2018 Update:

The events feed is now working if you enter your page access token.

Please enter your “page access token” so that your event images will look better, it will update every hour and it will show the past events.

Please follow our tutorial carefully.
