The honest answer

Why is it free? Here’s the honest answer.

The free plan has SociableKIT branding on the widget — a small “Powered by SociableKIT” link at the bottom. That’s how we keep it free, forever.

The free plan is 1 widget, 1 source, 2,000 monthly views, and manual sync requests. Most small sites never outgrow it. When you do need more sources, automatic sync, or no branding, our paid plans start at $10/month.

No hidden costs. No trial that auto-charges. No credit card required. SociableKIT has offered a free plan since 2014, and we’re not changing that.

Common questions

Free plan FAQ

Everything you need to know about using LinkedIn livestream for free.

What is a LinkedIn Livestream widget?

A LinkedIn Livestream widget brings an eligible LinkedIn Live broadcast or replay directly to your website. It helps visitors watch professional events, interviews, product launches, webinars, and company updates without searching through your LinkedIn feed.

How do I add a LinkedIn livestream to my website without coding?

Create the widget in SociableKIT, connect the requested LinkedIn livestream source, customize the design, and copy the generated embed code. Paste the code into an HTML, custom code, iframe, or embed block on your website.

What LinkedIn link or source do I need to connect?

Use the public LinkedIn Live Event, livestream post, Page, or profile source requested by the SociableKIT editor. Confirm that the correct organizer, event title, date, and video preview appear before saving the widget.

Do I need access to LinkedIn Live to use the widget?

You need LinkedIn Live access to create and broadcast the original livestream, but ordinary visitors do not need broadcaster access to watch. LinkedIn evaluates eligible profiles and Pages automatically rather than accepting separate access applications.

What are the current LinkedIn Live eligibility requirements?

LinkedIn currently evaluates profiles and Pages with more than 150 followers or connections, a good policy record, and an account or Page that is at least 30 days old. LinkedIn Live is not currently available to members or Pages based in mainland China.

Do I need to be a LinkedIn Page admin?

Yes, Page admin access is required when the Page is the livestream organizer. A Page super admin or content admin can create or manage the event and begin the broadcast through a supported streaming tool.

Can I stream directly from LinkedIn?

No, LinkedIn requires an external broadcasting tool to send the live video. Eligible broadcasters can use a preferred partner or another supported streaming setup, while SociableKIT focuses on displaying the LinkedIn livestream on your website.

Can the widget display scheduled and spontaneous LinkedIn Live videos?

LinkedIn Live broadcasts can be scheduled in advance or started spontaneously when the organizer has access. Scheduled events are usually better for promotion, attendee reminders, registration, and advance website placement.

Does the LinkedIn Live Event need to be public?

New LinkedIn Events are public and discoverable, allowing attendees and non-attendees to view their content. The livestream or replay must also remain eligible for external embedding because LinkedIn allows broadcasters to control whether it can appear outside LinkedIn.

Will a scheduled livestream appear and update automatically?

Paid SociableKIT plans include automatic syncing, so you can keep the same embed code as eligible source details change. The free plan lets you request a manual sync when you want to refresh the widget.

How quickly will livestream changes appear on my website?

The title, schedule, cancellation status, live video, or replay must first become available through LinkedIn. It can then appear after the next SociableKIT sync, so the website update should not be treated as instant.

What information can the LinkedIn Livestream widget display?

The widget can present available details such as the event title, organizer, banner, description, date, time, speakers, live status, video player, and viewing action. The exact fields depend on what LinkedIn makes public and which SociableKIT settings are enabled.

Do visitors need a LinkedIn account to watch the livestream?

LinkedIn states that any member can access public Live Event content before, during, and after the broadcast, even without attending. Registration, comments, reactions, networking, and other member features can still require sign-in.

Can visitors comment and react from the website widget?

LinkedIn supports live comments and reactions during a broadcast, and organizers can moderate the conversation. The available interaction inside an external widget depends on LinkedIn's embedded player, and some actions may open LinkedIn or require an account.

Will closed captions appear on the livestream?

Captions can appear when the broadcaster enables them through the streaming tool before going live. LinkedIn currently supports real-time automatic captions in English through API partners, and enabled captions can continue into replay playback.

What happens after the LinkedIn livestream ends?

LinkedIn normally keeps the completed stream on the organizer's Page or profile as a previously recorded live video. The replay can remain available in the widget when the source is public, embedding is allowed, and SociableKIT has refreshed the content.

Can a broadcaster block the livestream or replay from being embedded?

Yes, LinkedIn says a live stream or replay can be embedded only when the broadcaster allows it. If external embedding is disabled later, the website player may become unavailable even though the recording still exists on LinkedIn.

What happens if the Live Event is edited, canceled, or deleted?

Eligible edits and cancellations can be reflected after LinkedIn and SociableKIT refresh the source. A scheduled stream that does not begin within LinkedIn's allowed window can show as canceled, while deleted content can disappear from the widget.

Can LinkedIn Live registration forms work with the widget?

Pages with LinkedIn Live access can add a registration form when the event is created directly on LinkedIn. The widget can guide visitors to the LinkedIn event, where LinkedIn manages registration fields, attendee data, reminders, and replay access.

Is the widget mobile friendly, customizable, and available free?

Yes, SociableKIT supports responsive website embedding and customization for colors, fonts, layout, spacing, and calls to action. The free plan includes one source, one widget, and 2,000 monthly views, while paid plans add automatic syncing, unlimited widgets and views, branding removal, and 24/7 human support.
