Does your business receive reviews from both Google and your Facebook page? Great! Now you want to leverage those reviews to amplify the good reputation of your brand.
One of the best ways to do it is to add all those reviews to your website. There are ways to merge or combine reviews from Google and Facebook and then add them to your website. I will give you two ways to do it.
Use the manual method
To add both Google and Facebook reviews to your website using the manual method, follow the steps below.
- Go to your Google reviews or Facebook page reviews.
- Choose the reviews you want to add to your website.
- Copy the review, including the reviewer’s name, photo, and link to the source.
- Login to your website’s admin panel.
- Choose a page where you want the review to appear.
- Paste the review on that page, along with all the other review details.
- Format the review to make it look good on the site. You might want to hire a web designer to make it look better.
- Save and publish your webpage with the reviews.
- Repeat from Step 1 whenever you want to add a new review.
As you can imagine, the manual method can be time-consuming, cannot update automatically, and is hard to customize. It is not ideal for you, especially if you are a busy business owner or professional. Using a website widget might be your best option. See the steps below.
Use a website widget
The basic idea here is we will create 3 widgets. 2 widgets will act as a sources, which is the Google and Facebook reviews. 1 widget will be the Content Aggregator widget, which will get the review data from the other two widgets to combine them.
To add both Google and Facebook reviews to your website using a website widget, follow the steps below.
- Sign to SociableKIT.
- Create a Google reviews widget. This is the first source.
- Create a Facebook reviews widget. This is the second source.
- Create a Content Aggregator widget. This widget will combine the reviews data from the sources.
- Connect both your Google and Facebook reviews widget to your content aggregator.
- Your content aggregator widget will now show the reviews from both your Facebook and Google reviews.
- Customize the look and feel of your Content aggregator widget to match your brand.
- Click the “Embed on website” button and copy the embed code.
- Go to your website admin panel. Create or edit the page where you want to add the reviews.
- Paste the embed code of your content aggregator widget.
- Save and publish your page. Done!
As you can see, using a website widget does not make you copy and paste a lot of reviews manually. You can customize the look and feel to match your brand.
Your widget will be updated automatically with your new reviews. Our system has scheduled updates for this. This automatic sync and customization features are available on our paid plan. If you are on our free plan, you need to simply click a “Request sync” button and your reviews feed will be updated.
