What is LinkedIn Feed Embedding?
The easiest way to explain LinkedIn feed embedding is by defining the term embed. It means to ‘implant’ or ‘insert’ something into an existing system or device.
By this definition, LinkedIn feed embedding involves inserting posts and updates into an existing platform, such as a website, blog, or digital signage.
A successful embed allows visitors to view (and sometimes interact with) the LinkedIn feed without leaving the web page or signing into their LinkedIn profiles.
Embedding allows businesses to leverage LinkedIn marketing strategies to attract and engage potential clients. For instance, companies can share their LinkedIn posts, insights, upcoming events, and industry news through their websites to boost user engagement.
SociableKIT offers 7 LinkedIn feed widgets:
- LinkedIn Page Posts
- LinkedIn Profile Posts
- LinkedIn Page Events
- LinkedIn Page Jobs
- LinkedIn Hashtag Posts
- LinkedIn Newsletter Posts
- LinkedIn Recommendations
Why Do You Need to Embed a LinkedIn Feed on Your Website?
Embedding LinkedIn posts on your website addresses two major pain points of maintaining vibrant web pages and social media profiles:
- First, LinkedIn feed embedding solves the hassle of double posting. Many businesses struggle with manually updating their websites and social media/networking profiles, often neglecting one. Embedding your LinkedIn feed provides fresh content for your website, even when you don’t create new posts.
- Second, embedding a LinkedIn feed into a website bridges the technical skill gap in your marketing team. One requires web development skills to manually integrate a LinkedIn feed into a website’s code base. Embedding simplifies the integration process for people without coding skills (who are the majority).
4 Benefits of Embedding a LinkedIn Feed on a Website
Embedding a LinkedIn feed on a website comes with numerous monetary and non-monetary incentives. Let’s discuss the potential benefits below:
1. Drive Traffic to Your Website and Profiles
Embedding your LinkedIn profile to your website creates a synergistic relationship that benefits both platforms.
Visitors who see the feed on your website could follow your profile on LinkedIn, which will increase the number of connections you have. On the other hand, the search keywords used on the LinkedIn posts will also appear on your website, which is beneficial for SEO.
2. Build Professional Credibility
Regular LinkedIn posts show that a company is actively engaged in its industry, which builds customer confidence.
Embedding a LinkedIn feed also boosts your brand’s online presence, creating networking opportunities.
3. Boost Engagement Rate
Embedding insightful LinkedIn posts can encourage visitors to spend more time on your website.
You can also share engagement-inducing posts like polls and customer reviews, which can reduce your site’s bounce rate.
4. Promote Brand Awareness
Businesses often showcase their culture, values, and brand stories on their LinkedIn profiles.
Embedding a LinkedIn feed on your website gives potential leads a glimpse of your brand, which can help build a strong image.
Where Should I Embed LinkedIn Feed on my Website?
There are several places to embed a LinkedIn feed, depending on what you are trying to achieve:
- Website footer: Embed a LinkedIn widget on your website’s footer if you want the feed to appear on all web pages.
- Homepage: Adding a LinkedIn feed to your homepage attracts visitors’ attention as soon as they load your website. It helps showcase your business as credible, especially to first-time clients.
- About Us page: Site visitors often check the About Us page to learn a company’s brand story. Businesses can embed their LinkedIn feeds on the About Us page to update potential leads on company activities or industry-related achievements.
- Careers page: This would be the best place to embed the LinkedIn Page Jobs widget. Besides displaying the available vacancies, companies can display their LinkedIn feeds to share their company cultures, values, and achievements to attract top talents.
